Don C. Skemer is Curator of Manuscripts, Department of Rare Books and Special Collections, Princeton University Library. He has a PhD in medieval history from Brown University, and his research interests are the history of the medieval book, manuscript studies, and magic. He is the author of Binding Words: Textual Amulets in the Middle Ages, Magic in History (University Park, PA: Pennsylvania State University Press, 2006); principal author of Medieval and Renaissance Manuscripts in the Princeton University Library (Princeton, NJ: Department of Art and Archaeology and the Princeton University Library, in association with Princeton University Press), 2 vols.; and a contributor to Greek Manuscripts at Princeton, Sixth-Nineteenth Century: A Descriptive Catalogue (Princeton, NJ: Department of Art and Archaeology and the Program in Hellenic Studies, in association with Princeton University Press, 2010).
