M.C. Apostoli and Daniela E. Mairhofer

Back to "Spring 2026" courses

This seminar offers an introduction to the Latin language and literature of Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages. With a special focus on women’s voices and the ways they were represented, it explores women’s voices across a thousand years of Latin culture, from Perpetua’s prison diary and Egeria’s travel journal to the visionary songs of Hildegard of Bingen and Heloise’s passionate letters.
