Interests: Late medieval and early modern magic and the occult sciences. Gretchin Kepplinger’s research looks at the relationship between the intellectual and social traditions of magic by considering the potential purposes and uses of anonymous manuscripts of magic that were created between roughly 1400 and 1650.
