Sarah Porter

Program Manager, Medieval Studies

206 Scheide Caldwell House

Sarah joined the Humanities Council in 2018, after six years with Princeton in the Department of Chemistry. Sarah coordinates the activities for three programs in the Council of the Humanities, directly supporting the day-to-day operations for European Cultural Studies, Medieval Studies, and the Fund for Canadian Studies.

Sarah works closely with the program directors to plan and execute public lectures, seminars, graduate and undergraduate meetings, and excursions, and to guide the students who participate in these prestigious programs.  In addition, she  is responsible for program budgets and all financial transactions, program communications and marketing, media, events, course support, and student awards and funding.

Before coming to Princeton, Sarah worked in biochemistry and plant research labs and owned a natural body care products business based on her own formulations. When Sarah is not working in Scheide Caldwell, you may find her writing, gardening, watching stand-up comedy (her spouse is a stand-up comedian), delving into the latest historical novel or show, and chasing after her two very active and inquisitive children.
