Program in Medieval Studies Certificate Application

Only students in the Class of 2024 may apply below for a certificate in medieval studies. Students in the Class of 2025 and beyond can apply here for a minor in medieval studies.

    undertakes to complete the following work in order to receive the medieval studies certificate:

    - MED 227: The World of the Middle Ages OR HUM 216/217
    - four courses on a medieval topic
    - Senior Thesis Colloquium
    - Language Requirement
    - junior paper on a medieval topic
    - senior thesis on the Middle Ages, or otherwise approved by the director.

    And on completion of the above, and with the approval of the director of the program, will receive a certificate of proficiency in medieval studies upon graduation.
